To All Those Who Are Interested In Becoming A Junior Firefighter:

A Junior Firefighter is anyone who wants to become a Senior Firefighter, EMT or Fire Police. Junior firefighters consist of boys/girls ages 13-18. We so often hear teenagers say that there is nothing to do in town, well here is your opportunity to get involved in the community. A Junior Firefighter helps out the trained firefighters. You will learn the basic skills of firefighting and the tools used. You will learn how to fill and use Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), the equipment is on all the trucks, and procedures of the fire department. You will also learn leadership, respect, self-discipline, and the reward of knowing that you are helping others from danger. Junior meetings are held on the first & third Mondays of each month unless otherwise posted.

School always comes before the Junior Department. If you or your parents are worried about safety, well in the Junior Department safety is always first. You are never made to do whatever you do not want to. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Junior Chief Greg Weston.
